Since quite a few of the cast are leaving Smallville after season 8 it makes sense. Dont know how well its going to be received though but it should be interesting.
It's still only rumoured that the Supergirl spin off will come about. I dunno, I don't think they should bother with it. The original movie is fine as is. My personal feeling anyway.
Apparently Clark is meant to ask her "How come you can and I can't?" and her response is meant to be something like "I guess girls mature faster than boys".
Yes I am so excited about Supergirl, I just hope whoever they cast is an actress we all approve of.
Ditto.
Can't wait for the announcement.
Oh and Wonderwoman, as soon as you get news from your friend publicist, be sure to inform your fellow board members

Haha, that's hilarious. Well, that is true. Kara/Clark scenes will be fun to watch. - Can't wait.
And assuming Lana lives (*fingers crossed*) it would be great to see some Kara/Lana scenes too. Having Lana teach her the ways of present life, fashion in particular

Mmmm not sure about supergirl except for flying scenes if they do happen.
Personally didnt like the supergirl movie and it was a huge flop . Doesnt really fit the true and original mythology of Superman if you look at his history.

Just my opinion its not right or wrong.
Yeah, Kara is meant to be Clark's *very* younger cousin. And now in Smallville they're roughly the same age. So it does change the whole mythology a tad.
But we just need to wait and see how Smallville's Supergirl/Kara is.

Well his entire mythology was changed in Lois & Clark, so why not I guess play with it all in Smallville anyway, which basically since the first season they have. It's only now they're really properly getting into the whole 'Superman' thing anyway. Before they had free range.
Laura Vandervoort has been cast as Clark Kent's cousin Kara, aka Supergirl, on the CW's "Smallville." She'll begin lensing next week opposite series star Tom Welling.
The Canadian actress's best known credits include the N's "Instant Star" and episodes of "C.S.I" and "Doc." Earlier this year, she appeared in the Miramax feature "The Lookout."
