Has anybody seen the american Tv Show Heroes? It's pretty impressive, I'm up to episode 6. Recommendable to anyone who likes X-men, or superpowers in general. Channel 7 have picked it up for 2007.

Brief summary from IMDB:

Heroes is a science fiction drama that premiered on NBC in September 2006. Its main plotline surrounds the stories of 8 people who discover abilities they've never had before. Some of them immediately embrace them, others fear societal judgement and keep them a secret. Some of them discover a prophecy that will result in a possible cataclysm, others will use their powers to change their lives and the lives of others.

The series is very much serialized, like competing dramas such as Lost.

I download them using a program called: Morpheus. You can download it for free if you get the basic version. Type it in Google and it should get you to the site.

Yep, seen Heroes on my friends computer. I love Santiago Cabrera who plays 'Isaac Mendes' so glad he is on the show. I've liked him for a few years now so it's about time he get's his dues.

Santiago was in the 8-part series "Empire". He played "Octavius" the heir to Julius Ceaser. It was alright, I have the show on dvd, although it's not completely historically correct.

In reality the man's name was "Octavian", although his birth name was "Gaius Julius Octavius". When he grew up he became Emperor Augustus.

Yeah, from time to time. Mainly Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance periods.

I know. Cold Case, House and Heroes at 8:30. All great shows.


So which power do you guys think is the best so far?

I think Claires Invincibility would be so awesome to have.

Well, we tape both House and Heroes, as I go to bed at 8:30pm (have to get up at 4:40am to start work at 6am).  But I make sure that I watch Heroes within two days.  The whole family watched the first episode, but it looks like it is just me watching it now.  Though I make sure that I am watching it in our tv room while my sister is on the computer.  I notice her every now and then glancing over at the tv to see what is happening.

I really love how each person is so different, and how some of their powers seem so right for them.  The first episode was ok, but I wanted to watch more, to see what all the hype was about.  Now I understand why!!

And it only gets better. Heroes does tend to have a slow pace, but the later episodes makes up for that. The storylines and twists will blow your mind, if it hasn't already.

Yes, it gets so much better. I've watched up to the most recent ep and it's so so good once it gets past introducing the characters and stuff earlier in the season.

i love heroes, that is my second fav tv show, smallville is the first of coarse, anyway the show is so awsome, i havent missed an epi yet, eheheh

i really love the show, but cant be bothered dowloading nd watching it online, same cant be said for smallville. and i think that lost was a great show, but i dont like it as much now, the stuff they got in it like that black smoke is so stupid, it could have been an amazing show if it werent for those kind of things put in the show, but who likes that blonde girl, one of the others, i so want jack and her to be together, and i dont like that kate, and in heroes i just love watching that chinese dude,

Yes, Lost can get very confusing.

But I'm a dedicated fan so I will never lose interest.

Heroes on the other hand, it gets better and better.
