This has been posted around a few sites on the internet but I thought I'd post it here as well just in case people aren't aware as there will be some confusion over how Smallville is being aired the next couple of weeks.
First basically all of Australia (apart from Sydney it seems) will miss out on Smallville on Friday 9 March. Here is why:
The AFL pre-season match between Geelong and Brisbane Lions will now go into ALL states except Sydney this Friday night starting at 7:30pm and a little earlier in Perth. That means that only Sydney will be showing Smallville. If it was just Adelaide I would understand but now that Sydney is the only one getting Smallville, it should be dropped so that all states can stay up to date. So from the following week, there will be three different episodes of Smallville being shown. One for Sydney viewers, one for Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane viewers and another one for Adelaide viewers.
Now here's the update on how 10 is currently planning to get Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane viewers to catch up with Sydney..
Well here is some news that is positive and negative.
Sydney Smallville episode number 4 will air Friday 16th March and then episode 5 will air the following Friday night, 23rd March.
Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane Smallville episode number 3 will air Friday 16th March at 7:30pm. Episode 4 will air the very next night on Saturday night (Sunday morning technically) at 12:40am. And then ep will air with Sydney on Friday 23rd.
That means all major cap cities except Adelaide will be back on track on Friday 23rd. The only downside is that apart from people on this forum, not a lot of people will know this information and a lot of people will miss anyway because its being played at the ungodly hour of 12:40am.
Adelaide At this stage Adelaide viewers will see ep 3 in that ungodly Saturday slot and then ep 4 on Friday 23rd March and therefore be 1 episode behind the rest of the Australia. So standby as Channel 10 make an amendment for another episode of Smallville to be aired at some strange timeslot.
So I hope people see that! As I'm not sure how much advertising (if any at all) 10 will do for the episode of Smallvile at 12.40am, although I would hope they'd mention it after the third episode at least.
that's really gay, but r u guys sure? looking through the tv guide it's blurb for friday's ep it talks about the green arrow stealing martha's necklace which is from the episode arrow. and then at 12:40am on sunday it says pimp my ride is on. it would be useful if stupid channel 10 updated their site!
