Smallville always has awesome sets.

Apparently crew hated filming at the caves because it was very dusty and VERY small in real life.

Although it turns out brilliantly on screen.

Yeah one of the commentaries mentioned it.

I agree with you, the sets look really huge on screen. That's the power of television I guess.
